The Matrix Reloaded

For IMDb Reference:
[The Matrix Reloaded] IMDb Link

Reload before the revolution begins.

The Matrix Reloaded! yay! It's the second part of the trilogy, which is as we know, stunning. the second presents to us a wide and blatant truth about The Matrix itself. And because this is the second part of the trilogy, expect to see more of Neo (Keanu Reeves), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), and Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) in act.

The movie sets at 6 months after the events depicted in The Matrix. Neo has proved himself to be a good omen for the free humans, as more and more humans are being freed from the matrix and brought to Zion, the one and only stronghold  and sanctum of the Resistance. Neo himself has discovered his superpowers including super speed, ability to see the codes of the things inside the matrix and a certain degree of precognition. But a shocking news hits the human resistance: 250,000 machine sentinels are digging to Zion and would reach them in 72 hours. As Zion prepares for the ultimate war, Neo, Morpheus and Trinity are advised by the Oracle to find the Keymaker who would help them reach the Source. Meanwhile Neo's recurrent dreams depicting Trinity's death have got him worried and as if it was not enough, Agent Smith has somehow escaped deletion, has become more powerful than before and has become an anomaly to the system like Neo. Agent Smith has fixed Neo as his next target. Will the mankind survive the machine's massive army? Could they even hold out their own grounds?

In this movie, the works of Wachowski Brothers deserves another thumbs-up. If you watched this movie now, you'll be able to see the animated computer graphic. But in its era, this movie is a WOW. I mean, you know that you can watch something like Transformers now, in which the CGI is wayyy too great. The Matrix Reloaded will provide you with their latest CGI, and that is around 2003. And yes, we'd have another look at Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity, and also, some new faces, like Captain Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Persephone (Monica Bellucci), who moved the movie the awesomeness of this movie to the max. Come on, who doesn't know about the goddess Monica Bellucci. Read her bio on wikipedia, and you'll see why she is a goddess. :p This movie may not gives you action all the time, but it's worth watching if you want to fully understand the storyline of the trilogy.

I need to reload! haven't slept for two days, this is nearly my limit.... bye folks!

The Matrix

For IMDb Reference :
[The Matrix] IMDb Link

In a world of 1s and 0s...are you a zero, or The One?

Right, so now it's The Matrix turn. You know, where the world had collapsed right before our eyes? Where mankind could hardly survive? Keanu Reeves starred this movie and this trilogy became a big break for him. It's very popular although years had passed. I mean, what will you do if you live in an artificial reality and you aren't really living it?

Thomas A. Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is a man living two lives. By day he is an average computer programmer and by night a hacker known as Neo. Neo has always questioned his reality, but the truth is far beyond his imagination. Neo finds himself targeted by the police when he is contacted by Morpheus (Lawrence Fishburne) , a legendary computer hacker branded a terrorist by the government. Morpheus awakens Neo to the "real" world, a ravaged wasteland where most of humanity have been captured by a race of machines that live off of the humans' body heat and electrochemical energy and who imprison their minds within an artificial reality known as The Matrix. The humans who survived live in the tunnels, sewers to the machine's civilization. As a rebel against the machines, Neo must return to the Matrix and confront the agents: super-powerful computer programs devoted to snuffing out Neo and the entire human rebellion.

Well, I don't mean to offend any other movie but I'll give this one a straight A. It's a very amazing combination about the end-of-the-world theme and the twist of reality. Our world is coming to their era, the era of the machines. It's like having a slap on your face, from someone who knew what is our world gonna be. OMG, but Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss act perfectly well. I don't have any reason to say any bad things to them! as usual, wachowski Brothers gave us a good movie to think to.

Well, I'm off. I gotta go into the Matrix, to find the lady in red. You know what I mean.

Gamer

Who's playing you?

Wooho! It's Gerard Butler! Yes-siree, this one angry spartan plays in this movie : Gamer. Don't get me wrong but I'm not a big fan of Gerard Butler. I'm just an ordinary fan, since most of his movies are good :). This movie is a perfect movie for youngsters, especially those who like to play games. Oh, I almost forgot. Ludacris also plays in this movie, as an idealist rebellious guy. Check this out.

In the near future, technology is superb. Everything is controlled by technology. A man named Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) invented the coolest technology of all: a world called Society. You are not controlling virtual characters. You are controlling someone to interact in Society. But what makes it different to our technology, is that they use nanex. It's a nano cell planted into you motor cortex, and the nano cell will copy the data it brought to the whole brain. So basically, YOU are not yourself. When they got it, people will have their own distinct Ip address (kinda creepy huh), So that the player can control the character just the way they want (and it's not virtual, it's real people!). Kinda makes you think, which one is 'real'. John Tillman a.k.a Kable (Gerard Butler), is a convict who is falsely accused for murder. He got the chance to save himself by playing 30 consecutive rounds of a death game, called Slayers. Slayers is also invented by Ken Castle, and the game provides a get-out-of-jail ticket for everyone in prison if he/she can survive throughout the game. The system in Slayers is similar to Society-it's just that in Slayers, people play the game by playing characters, as in the convicts. and Kable, is played by a rich top player kid named Simon Silverton (Logan Lerman). Kable has to make his own way out of the game, in order to save his family.

Actually, the movie is great. The storyline, the cast, and the whole idea of the movie deserves an A. I mean, where else would you find a movie, which will bring the viewers the thrill of playing a game? The danger of not being in control, and what will it give to you if all you think is just to satisfy your guilty pleasure? This movie brought an important idea for us: Be yourself. And yes, as you can guess, justice always win. I hate to say this but when I watched the movie, I can think of the outcome after the big turn-around scene. The idea is great, but it doesn't work that way in the flow of the movie. The actors and actresses in this movie are decent, but I think they can go more than that. Kable's got it in the part where he had to shoot his friend. The kind of emotion you'll rarely found in movies. Watch it to uncover how Humanz bust the Society, and the turnarounds.

Well, I've given you one more movie to watch on weekends. I just might try that nanex. Who knows who's playing me.

Constantine

For IMDb reference :

John Constantine: So when a half-breed breaks the rules, I deport their sorry ass straight back to hell. I don't get them all, but I've been hoping to get enough to ensure my... retirement.
Angela Dodson: I don't understand.
John Constantine: I'm a suicide, Angela. When I die, the rules say I've got just one place to go...
Angela Dodson: You're trying to buy your way into heaven.
John Constantine: What would *you* do if you were sentenced to a prison where half the inmates were put there by you?

Well, It's been a long time since my last movie review. Now that I got some good internet connections I'll be writing more and more movies. This movie is about things as it is, not as u should or ever learn. And also, happens to be the one I know and I understand. I prefer not to believe this one, since I already know a higher path.

So now, we got a cool demon hunter, called Constantine, John Constantine (Keanu Reeves). He was born with the ability to see things that should not be seen. In another words, he can see, and walk to another dimension. this gift/curse is something he doesn't favor in, and it made him kinda skeptic about things. He met Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz), who is a detective at the local precinct. these two are trying to uncover the mysteries in this world, and surely some will make you stop and re-think about your beliefs. When an angel, or a demon walks right next to you, will you know it? This movie is about the big war between God and Satan, and we're just a huge flock of sheep in-between. It may not sounds reliable, but it is. :)

Right, so this movie is a comic-book based, Hellblazer. They changed the movie title because it sounds similar to Hellboy and they went out one after another. So to avoid people from misunderstanding, they changed the name to Constantine. John Constantine IS a heavy smoker, since he smoke 30 cigarettes a day since he were 15. He's dying due to lung cancer. Sadly, he ain't got much time left. He also got an apprentice in this movie, named Chas Kramer (Shia Labeouf). But it won't be like Batman and Robin. Chas doesn't go out often, since all the gig is done mostly by John. Angela Dodson here, plays as a devout Christian. Well, she, strangely found her way intertwined with John, in order to solve the case of her twin sister's death. You know, if you really do read the comics, this movie is quite different. Some changes are made here and there to make this movie suitable to the situation. But, that happens a lot in this business.

Anyway, what is there to criticize? The plot is great, and the effects, too. the actors and actress played well in this movie. Although it's kinda lack in character details, it's nice. I mean, you won't get to know a lot about Chas and some other actors. And it seems that there are some glitches in the movie. Just look harder. :) To be honest, if you want to look for some faith-shocking action, I would recommend The Da Vinci Code, but since it's kinda hard to understand, just watch this movie.

Well, that's it folks. after a long rest, I just might write a lot. I even wondered if someone happen to aim a Dragon Breath at me, will I write faster? lol

Law Abiding Citizen

[Law Abiding Citizen] IMDb Link

Clyde Shelton : In my experience, Nick, lessons not learned in blood are soon forgotten.

I’m a law abiding citizen.  But what happens if I act otherwise? Well, Law Abiding Citizen is a movie which tells us something that everyone has but one; sense of justice. So buckle up, Gerard Butler will present to you, a revolution of the corrupted system. Oh, Jamie Foxx will also make you feel as if you are in the court, and you’re the one being accused. Well, you know what it is. Expect the good guy-bad guy routine.

Let me ask you something. What will you do if someone breaks into your house, rob everything and kill everyone you loved? I’ll be mad if it’s me. And that also happens to Clyde, the lead actor of this movie. His justice is now vengeance. Not only to the people who kill he dears, but also to the justice itself which lost its true meaning. The fusion of a mastermind and the hands to do the dirty work, make a dangerous combination added to vengeance in which he already had, fueling his life. He would have committed a perfect crime, within the bars. Without no one ever knowing a slightest clue about what he were about to do. Nick Rice, on the other hand, as the supporting pillar of the system, is trying really hard to figure out the big picture. The killings, the conspiracy, seem indefinable. You might want to check your security system first before going to sleep tonight, who knows Clyde might show up.

Yup, it's the same revenge plot. One guy lost everything, then afterwards he came up with a super plan and kill everyone. LoL. Well, you can guess that since the beginning of the movie, but the action is nothing bu unimaginable. Believe, you'll be shock when you are able to see the blueprint. It's a perfect crime. Doing bad thing for the sake of good thing. Sounds funny, but it is. Throughout the movie, you might come up with 'How come?' or 'That's impossible!' kind of thing. But it's happening. Gerard Butler, needless to say plays his best in this one, just like in 300. Then again, it also teaches us one thing in which easily forgotten; Justice always wins. But of course, if it happens otherwise, the spartan would win the gamble he had.

Now it's my time to avenge the time I've spent for work. Gonna write about 4 movies. See you in prison

Takers

For IMDb Reference:
[Takers] IMDb Link

Gordon Cozier:  We're takers, gents. That's what we do for a living. We take.

It's a gang of RAPPERS! yes, here we are, gents. We got T.I. and Chris Brown, and many other actors like Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, Michael Ealy, and Paul Walker. The team, known as Takers, is a high-class bank robbers. Don't get fooled, this movie will brought you to the whole, scheming of a heist. might as well I suggest you not to try it. Haha.

The gang itself, not just a regular bank robbers. They plan the heist, with every single detail. Somehow you can't get more of it, and the police could only drop their donuts as well as the detectives. They're not money-obsessed-villains, they're just takers. They take. And it happens to one of their friends, Ghost, played by T.I. Ghost was taken by the police, because he got shot and caught. It was an old story for the team, but the memory stays for an ex-con. He lived it up with the truth that no one's trying to get him out, but that was the deal. Yes, he still had the money. The team reserves it in a bank and it keeps growing. But he's not satisfied. He got kicked out of the team. His girlfriend is taken by Jake Attica, his own teammate. And everything's changed. It's just business now. No matter how cold-headed someone is, he will definitely build hatred.

It's the same old plot. Vengeance. Nothing new. The only that will make you pumped up is the fact that nobody's good in heart. There's no good guys-bad guys stuff here. Everyone's bad. Don't expect a happy ending here, cause you'll end up saying 'what??'. It's a twisted ending and you'll see that The Italian Job is better. and also, the job is far well done in The Italian Job. For you guys who are vengeful, and you can't see that something doesn't feel right, you'll end up crashing your TV-set. But still, this movie will make up for those lonely weekends. Especially if you're in need of money. Heh-heh.

That's it folks, after a week break, I'll be writing more and more of my movies. See ya. Going to plan a heist.

Faster

For IMDb reference:
[Faster] IMDb Link

Justice is swift. Vengeance is faster.

Oh boy, oh boy! It's The Rock! Yes, you heard me! It's THE ROCK! Boy am I ever excited like this. Yes, it's him, he's back on the track. And yes, this time he goes waaaaaaay faster. Dwayne Johnson is back to get even. For you guys who like to see fast cars with lots of actions, check this one out. And yes, his car is just awesome! Chevrolet Chevelle LS5 SS recreation (1970 Chevelle front and 1971 Chevelle rear end), the famous American muscle.

It's the same plot as always, revenge plot where everything gets twisted inside. The furious one, Driver, as the lead, played by Dwayne Johnson. He got one and only mission: Vengeance. Driven mad because of the double-crossing of their bank heist led him as an ex-con to a long dark road. Well, basically this movie is simple, but entertaining. 3 guys, 3 paths, 1 clash. No big deal. The only one feeding the Driver's vengeance is the memory of his brother. Also an egocentric man, as the Killer, plays his act just splendid. He's really doing it like he had some issues. While the Cop, yes, played by Billy Bob Thornton, a very reckless and out-of-control cop. Each of them had their own mission, and somehow everyone is connected. It's a twisted story of vengeance, hatred and salvation. The race, perhaps is not too much, because basically this is not a racing movie like Fast and Furious, but it's enjoyable. You'll get to see what a man, blinded with vengeance can do.

This is a 'less talk, more action' type of movie. Yes, there are some scenes where they talk and talk, but it's not that much of a drama. At least this movie will give you the thrill. Despite the usual plot they use here, the end of the movie, shall i say, satisfying. You won't see the bad guys live and the good guys dead or perhaps, everyone's dead. A movie, which is better than Takers. Expect to see the cars' amazing moves, logical gunfight (not like the one in Wanted), and yes, the one and only, Dwayne Johnson!

I gotta go. Got a list of people I need to deal with. See you on the long dark road.

Shoot 'Em Up

For IMDb reference :
[Shoot 'Em Up] IMDb Link

Mr. Hertz : Oh, yes-siree-Bob, it certainly has been a pleasure. But before we part ways, tell me one thing: I am dead on about who you are, right?
Mr. Smith: Say that again?
Mr. Hertz: I said, I am dead...
Mr. Smith: [
interrupting him] Stop. That part of it you got right.

Shoot 'Em Up! You can see from the picture, so expect an action movies. This movie, starring Clive Owen and Monica Bellucci, with Clive Owen as the lead. The film, I must say, is quite intriguing, especially if you want an action movie packed with comedy. This movie, unlike any other among its kind, focus on gunfight. As I recall there is no use of explosive either. So cheer up, no matter if you're a Jarhead, an employee, or even a housewife, this movie will ignite your trigger-happy self.

As always, Clive Owen plays a character with a smart-ass attitude. I sometimes even wondered how could he always be the heroine. Look again, in Children of Men. Shoot 'Em Up provides a different side of gunfight. Yes, it is far more sophisticated if you compare it to cowboys. No, it is not like any other espionage movies, or those governmental secret stuff. It's a plain and simple movie. They make this movie with two intentions only: cool scenes and kick-ass gunfights. And it turns out to be one of the great movie ever made, and might I add, better than James Bond. Believe me. Even there is one scene which support this truth implicitly. While James Bond, may focus in the espionage thing, Shoot 'Em Up prefer to focus on one thing: GUNFIGHT! (How many times I've said this word?) It's the same plays like Bourne Trilogy or Salt, but this movie would not even look at their plot. This movie offers something new if you've seen movies like Bourne trilogy , this one offers the ugly truth which everyone, or some people, never realize : Never trust the people who stand to profit, plain and simple. They're the bad guys.

Just like any other movies with surprisingly amazing plot or special effects, Shoot 'Em Up also had its minor glitches. For you guys who have good knowledge about guns, you may laugh and sometimes confused  as you watch the movie. For you guys who have good knowledge about filming, you may also laugh at the movie. Just look closer. Who knows maybe one of the bullet came out and hit you right on the forehead. Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci, as usual, both look fantastic as ever and well, and they act just perfect supporting the character of Clive Owen, Mr. Smith

Well, I gotta go. Going to eat my Carrot, and I'll also be making new reviews for now, maybe like Faster or Love and Other Drugs. Anyway, Goodbye, Doc!

Tron: Legacy

For IMDb reference:
[Tron: Legacy] IMDb Link

Sam Flynn : "What am I supposed to do?"
Gem : "Survive."

Tron: Legacy. Wow. From the title and also the trailer, we could expect a heartbreaking movie. The futuristic style, a parallel world that lies beyond a video game. Astonishing and breathtaking scenes from the movie might make your eyes blind, perhaps in just a blink of an eye. Disk Wars, the battle they do -much more like gladiators; have one simple rule: fight or die. A death race, which would make the Death Race suck their thumbs.

Everything that happens in the movie, happens in the Grid. Let's say that it's their earth, in which program commonly do their thing. And trust me, don't expect programs like you've seen in Wall-e. Programs, on the Grid, are user-made people, in order to serve a purpose. A quick example from the movie is Clu. The antagonist character, made by Kevin Flynn, to rule over the Grid. Clu, serves the purpose as a co-creator for the perfect world. He's nothing but a program, but he has the ability to do many things. An interesting part here, is the ISOs. Isomorphic Algorithms, self-produced Programs that spontaneously evolved in the system. The ISOs adapted to the system, just like mankind do on Earth. The ISOs are the key of Flynn's goal, because they carry the potential to unlock mysteries in science, religion, and medicine. One improvement over here.

Well, here comes the rough part. Despite the overwhelming special effects, Tron: Legacy is lack in many sides. When it comes to the special effects, i must admit this movie is a top notch movie and only stand after Avatar. (The tall, blue guy, remember? not the bald one.) but in story, it's the usual plot. Good versus evil, eventually the good guys won, and some minor breakdown for the good guys. You can guess that they will win right in the middle of the movie. For some action-packed scenes, it's just not enough. The Takers is far more better movie if u want some action. Yes, we must admit, the Disk Wars, and then the light cycles, the light jets are some breathtaking and you-can't-miss scenes, but it doesn't made up for what many people will have expected. After the first time we saw the light cycles, and you will say 'Ooh' or 'Wow' and then -poof- they're gone. In the cast, I would prefer Notting Hill to this movie. Why? Simple. It's better to look at drama or even thriller movies rather than this one. Only one or two that act well. Other than them? I'll pass. You'll see the way Clu express his anger by "de-resoluting" Jarvis. Wow. A drunk father could express the anger far more better than him. Overall, this movie is only good for lonely weekend, and you're in need of amazing special effects. Not to watch in a tiring Saturday evening.

Well, I'll see you in many cycles to come. I gotta go on my light cycle. Survive the days, folks.
