Tron: Legacy. Wow. From the title and also the trailer, we could expect a heartbreaking movie. The futuristic style, a parallel world that lies beyond a video game. Astonishing and breathtaking scenes from the movie might make your eyes blind, perhaps in just a blink of an eye. Disk Wars, the battle they do -much more like gladiators; have one simple rule: fight or die. A death race, which would make the Death Race suck their thumbs.

Everything that happens in the movie, happens in the Grid. Let's say that it's their earth, in which program commonly do their thing. And trust me, don't expect programs like you've seen in Wall-e. Programs, on the Grid, are user-made people, in order to serve a purpose. A quick example from the movie is Clu. The antagonist character, made by Kevin Flynn, to rule over the Grid. Clu, serves the purpose as a co-creator for the perfect world. He's nothing but a program, but he has the ability to do many things. An interesting part here, is the ISOs. Isomorphic Algorithms, self-produced Programs that spontaneously evolved in the system. The ISOs adapted to the system, just like mankind do on Earth. The ISOs are the key of Flynn's goal, because they carry the potential to unlock mysteries in science, religion, and medicine. One improvement over here.

Well, here comes the rough part. Despite the overwhelming special effects, Tron: Legacy is lack in many sides. When it comes to the special effects, i must admit this movie is a top notch movie and only stand after Avatar. (The tall, blue guy, remember? not the bald one.) but in story, it's the usual plot. Good versus evil, eventually the good guys won, and some minor breakdown for the good guys. You can guess that they will win right in the middle of the movie. For some action-packed scenes, it's just not enough. The Takers is far more better movie if u want some action. Yes, we must admit, the Disk Wars, and then the light cycles, the light jets are some breathtaking and you-can't-miss scenes, but it doesn't made up for what many people will have expected. After the first time we saw the light cycles, and you will say 'Ooh' or 'Wow' and then -poof- they're gone. In the cast, I would prefer Notting Hill to this movie. Why? Simple. It's better to look at drama or even thriller movies rather than this one. Only one or two that act well. Other than them? I'll pass. You'll see the way Clu express his anger by "de-resoluting" Jarvis. Wow. A drunk father could express the anger far more better than him. Overall, this movie is only good for lonely weekend, and you're in need of amazing special effects. Not to watch in a tiring Saturday evening.

Well, I'll see you in many cycles to come. I gotta go on my light cycle. Survive the days, folks.
