The Adjustment Bureau

Your Path, Fate, Future, World Has Been Adjusted
What would you do if everything has been adjusted for you? Life would feel kinda sucks, aint it? Don't worry. Things being adjusted doesn't mean you know every single one of them. But still, you would know there are some do's and don'ts in your so called 'adjusted' life.
The movie starts off as a young, audacious politician David Norris (Matt Damon) is running for the senate of New York. Due to unknown reason (yet), he met an unforgettable and amazing woman, Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt) just before he's going to deliver his speech after he lost the poll. The awkward moment of having to accidentally meet someone new suddenly turned to a love-like moment. Right that moment, he felt that this is the only woman he would ever loved. This woman is like none he's ever known. But when fate seems to brought them together again, David has to face the ugly truth: There are agents of Fate -The men of The Adjustment Bureau- who will do everything they could to keep David and Elise apart.
The story soon unfold its mysteries. David has to make a harsh decision. To let her go and accept the predetermined path for him, or to risk everything and rebel against the agents. All plans are made by The Chairman, and The Chairman controls everything via the hands of the agents. When all seems impossible, David got a helping hand from a very resourceful guy. He helped David to know the tricks -nothing more; nothing less- until finally David made up his mind.
It's been a while (at least for me) from the last time I see Matt Damon played romance-kind of movies like this. Yes, we all know that everyone knows about his spectacular trilogy-The Bournes. From Bourne's Identity, Supremacy until Ultimatum, he brought us an action packed + thriller trilogy. In this movie, though, it doesn't mean he completely lose that black ops-coolness behind and go all out in to drama. Him doing this movie, it's just like a perfect fit for David Norris. You'd know, once you watched movies like Iron man or X-Men: Origins. That multimillionaire playboy fits like a glove to Robert Downey Jr. just like Wolverine to Hugh Jackman. And for Damon's girl, Emily Blunt acts in a very splendid manner. Although, there are some scenes that *cough* she didn't do by herself.
Anyway, I guess I'm gonna do some reviews on The Bournes. I got three of 'em, alright. Let's see if I can make some time to watch them. Meanwhile, feast your eyes on the case book this time!

Who's playing you?
Wooho! It's Gerard Butler! Yes-siree, this one angry spartan plays in this movie : Gamer. Don't get me wrong but I'm not a big fan of Gerard Butler. I'm just an ordinary fan, since most of his movies are good :). This movie is a perfect movie for youngsters, especially those who like to play games. Oh, I almost forgot. Ludacris also plays in this movie, as an idealist rebellious guy. Check this out.
In the near future, technology is superb. Everything is controlled by technology. A man named Ken Castle (Michael C. Hall) invented the coolest technology of all: a world called Society. You are not controlling virtual characters. You are controlling someone to interact in Society. But what makes it different to our technology, is that they use nanex. It's a nano cell planted into you motor cortex, and the nano cell will copy the data it brought to the whole brain. So basically, YOU are not yourself. When they got it, people will have their own distinct Ip address (kinda creepy huh), So that the player can control the character just the way they want (and it's not virtual, it's real people!). Kinda makes you think, which one is 'real'. John Tillman a.k.a Kable (Gerard Butler), is a convict who is falsely accused for murder. He got the chance to save himself by playing 30 consecutive rounds of a death game, called Slayers. Slayers is also invented by Ken Castle, and the game provides a get-out-of-jail ticket for everyone in prison if he/she can survive throughout the game. The system in Slayers is similar to Society-it's just that in Slayers, people play the game by playing characters, as in the convicts. and Kable, is played by a rich top player kid named Simon Silverton (Logan Lerman). Kable has to make his own way out of the game, in order to save his family.
Actually, the movie is great. The storyline, the cast, and the whole idea of the movie deserves an A. I mean, where else would you find a movie, which will bring the viewers the thrill of playing a game? The danger of not being in control, and what will it give to you if all you think is just to satisfy your guilty pleasure? This movie brought an important idea for us: Be yourself. And yes, as you can guess, justice always win. I hate to say this but when I watched the movie, I can think of the outcome after the big turn-around scene. The idea is great, but it doesn't work that way in the flow of the movie. The actors and actresses in this movie are decent, but I think they can go more than that. Kable's got it in the part where he had to shoot his friend. The kind of emotion you'll rarely found in movies. Watch it to uncover how Humanz bust the Society, and the turnarounds.
Well, I've given you one more movie to watch on weekends. I just might try that nanex. Who knows who's playing me.

Clyde Shelton : In my experience, Nick, lessons not learned in blood are soon forgotten.
I’m a law abiding citizen. But what happens if I act otherwise? Well, Law Abiding Citizen is a movie which tells us something that everyone has but one; sense of justice. So buckle up, Gerard Butler will present to you, a revolution of the corrupted system. Oh, Jamie Foxx will also make you feel as if you are in the court, and you’re the one being accused. Well, you know what it is. Expect the good guy-bad guy routine.
Let me ask you something. What will you do if someone breaks into your house, rob everything and kill everyone you loved? I’ll be mad if it’s me. And that also happens to Clyde, the lead actor of this movie. His justice is now vengeance. Not only to the people who kill he dears, but also to the justice itself which lost its true meaning. The fusion of a mastermind and the hands to do the dirty work, make a dangerous combination added to vengeance in which he already had, fueling his life. He would have committed a perfect crime, within the bars. Without no one ever knowing a slightest clue about what he were about to do. Nick Rice, on the other hand, as the supporting pillar of the system, is trying really hard to figure out the big picture. The killings, the conspiracy, seem indefinable. You might want to check your security system first before going to sleep tonight, who knows Clyde might show up.
Yup, it's the same revenge plot. One guy lost everything, then afterwards he came up with a super plan and kill everyone. LoL. Well, you can guess that since the beginning of the movie, but the action is nothing bu unimaginable. Believe, you'll be shock when you are able to see the blueprint. It's a perfect crime. Doing bad thing for the sake of good thing. Sounds funny, but it is. Throughout the movie, you might come up with 'How come?' or 'That's impossible!' kind of thing. But it's happening. Gerard Butler, needless to say plays his best in this one, just like in 300. Then again, it also teaches us one thing in which easily forgotten; Justice always wins. But of course, if it happens otherwise, the spartan would win the gamble he had.
Now it's my time to avenge the time I've spent for work. Gonna write about 4 movies. See you in prison.

Takers

Gordon Cozier: We're takers, gents. That's what we do for a living. We take.
It's a gang of RAPPERS! yes, here we are, gents. We got T.I. and Chris Brown, and many other actors like Idris Elba, Hayden Christensen, Michael Ealy, and Paul Walker. The team, known as Takers, is a high-class bank robbers. Don't get fooled, this movie will brought you to the whole, scheming of a heist. might as well I suggest you not to try it. Haha.
The gang itself, not just a regular bank robbers. They plan the heist, with every single detail. Somehow you can't get more of it, and the police could only drop their donuts as well as the detectives. They're not money-obsessed-villains, they're just takers. They take. And it happens to one of their friends, Ghost, played by T.I. Ghost was taken by the police, because he got shot and caught. It was an old story for the team, but the memory stays for an ex-con. He lived it up with the truth that no one's trying to get him out, but that was the deal. Yes, he still had the money. The team reserves it in a bank and it keeps growing. But he's not satisfied. He got kicked out of the team. His girlfriend is taken by Jake Attica, his own teammate. And everything's changed. It's just business now. No matter how cold-headed someone is, he will definitely build hatred.
It's the same old plot. Vengeance. Nothing new. The only that will make you pumped up is the fact that nobody's good in heart. There's no good guys-bad guys stuff here. Everyone's bad. Don't expect a happy ending here, cause you'll end up saying 'what??'. It's a twisted ending and you'll see that The Italian Job is better. and also, the job is far well done in The Italian Job. For you guys who are vengeful, and you can't see that something doesn't feel right, you'll end up crashing your TV-set. But still, this movie will make up for those lonely weekends. Especially if you're in need of money. Heh-heh.
That's it folks, after a week break, I'll be writing more and more of my movies. See ya. Going to plan a heist.
